As an economist and professor at SMU's Cox School of Business, I prioritize the economic well-being of all Texans. My goal is to eliminate the tyranny of property taxes and put an end to the school and municipal bond schemes that threaten financial stability and transparency.
Public safety is a top priority. I advocate for comprehensive reform of the criminal bail system to ensure fairness and justice. This includes ending the release of dangerous suspects without proper bail and protecting vulnerable misdemeanor offenders through fair and consistent laws.
To protect our communities, I support expanding the role of the Texas National Guard and State Guard to secure our borders. We must treat drug and human trafficking cartels as military threats, demonstrating our commitment to stopping these illegal activities at their source.
